MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) –  State Troopers are investigating a wreck involving a driver who nearly went off a small bridge in Morgan County.

Around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, emergency crews rushed to a bridge at Upper River Road and Thompson Road, over a small stream.

We understand the driver went off the road, hit a guard rail and landed on top of an overpass over the stream.

The driver was able to crawl out of the vehicle, and was taken to Decatur Morgan Hospital.  We understand the person’s injuries are not serious.

A wrecker hauled the vehicle away.

The roads near the bridge were blocked for about an hour, but were re-opened shortly before 9 a.m.
