HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Whole Foods Market is coming to Huntsville in 2016, according to our news partners at The Huntsville Times.

The oft-rumored natural and organic foods store based in Texas will be located on the northeast corner of Bob Wallace Avenue and Memorial Parkway in 2016.

“We’ve been looking at the Huntsville market for a while,” said Mike Howard, Whole Foods Market South region vice president, in a statement.

WHNT News 19 is working to learn more about this developing story.

Kind of an odd place to build a Whole Foods.

But with Wal Mart being built less than a mile down the road it might be the beginning of more retail stores opening up around Park Way Place Mall.

Personally I’d like to see the mall expanded since Madison Square is a a ghost town and Bridge Street has numerous traffic problems and tenants leaving regularly.

Don’s shop at whole Foods – LOVE Earthfare!!!! Whole Foods doesn’t have the organic shopper in mind when making their money – they offer too many conventional things and are not trustworthy insofar as making sure we buy things that KEEP us healthy! Read the labels before you buy. At least with Earthfare I can trust in the products they sell.

Josh, can you post the telephone number, and email address for Mike Howard, Whole Foods Market South region vice president, or the Corporate address? I would like to communicate with them about the WHY they chose the address at Bob Wallace, and the Pkwy, rather than a more sensible location!
