HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Several educational and tourism organizations in Madison County are casting a wide net to reach field trip planners.

Representatives from those organizations launched the ‘Educational Escapes’ website.

The site works as a marketplace to help field trip planners decide where to take students or other groups.

Trip organizers have the ability to pick their destination spots based on various fields of study and local attractions in the Madison County area.

“We’re trying to offer the service that is basically a one-stop shop to let the teacher or group leader invest less time in the planning process. Doing so, will let the kids and teachers enjoy more,” said Educational Escapes Coordinator Pam Williams.

Williams and others at the Huntsville-Madison County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau will maintain the site.
