MECHANICSBURG, Ohio — An Ohio man got his wish last week – to be buried upright on his 1967 motorcycle.
Billy Standley can be seen on his bike in a plexiglass casket. He started planning the burial 18 years ago.
It took five embalmers, three extra burial plots and wood steel reinforcements to make it happen.
Standley also wanted an outdoor funeral so his biker friends could see him off.
His children said the motorcycle helped him keep a sense of adventure after he settled down to raise four kids.
