Huntsville Police Responding to Dollar General Robbery

Dollar General Robbery Highway 431

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police are responding to a robbery at the Dollar General on Highway 431.

Police say it happened just before 8:00 p.m. Thursday. A white male in his mid to late 30s who was wearing a mask showed a gun to the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of money.

One employee and one customer were in the store at the time of the robbery. Neither of them were injured.

The man fled the scene in a silver or grey late 80s or early 90s four door sedan.

Huntsville police are handing off the investigation to Madison County Deputies.

    Come on people really do you have it so bad you have to rob a dollar store.It’s people like this that ruin things for everyone.If you didn’t pay for it or work for it than you don’t deserve it at all.

    Sounds like the Dollar Stores will have to go up on their prices when they have to hire off-duty Police officers or Veterans just back from duty to guard the stores around the clock. I hope they catch him and all the others that have or plan to do the same. I remember when you would never hear of things like this happening in Madison County. Those days are long gone. I am glad no one was hurt.

    I wonder if he worked for Holiday Inn Downtown Hotel, within 6 weeks theh laid us off, promised us job fairs. Hell we all goin crazy thinkin bout doing random ish!
