Deadly Crash Claims the Life of Hazel Green Woman
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – State Trooper Curtis Summerville reports a two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Hazel Green woman on Wednesday.
Summerville says the crash occurred at approximately 11:55 a.m. on U.S. 231, four miles north of Huntsville. Amanda Dawn Conner, 25, was killed when the 2004 Jeep Liberty she was driving struck a 2002 Toyota Prius driven by Nancy Elaine Wilson, 40, of New Market.
Conner was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Wilson was not injured.
Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, Alabama State Troopers say speed was a factor.
