Looking for a free app to help your young one learn to play piano?

Check out Piano Dust Buster 2.0 from Joy Tunes. The app overs a number of free songs to learn, using a built in piano keyboard. Kids can follow along with a “sweeper” as she attempts to track the germs falling from above. Each germ corresponds to a note.

As children build familiarity with notes and simple combinations they can work up to playing a song.

The coolest part though? If you set your device with the app running near your real piano, the app will pick up the notes to let you know if you’re playing them correctly. When you gain ability, you can challenge people around the world in concert mode. You can also connect social via Facebook.

The app looks best on an iPad or tablet and can be found in your app store.
