Man Escapes Mobile Home Fire in Limestone County
LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Firefighters have contained a mobile home fire in Limestone County.
Firefighters from Huntsville and Limestone County responded around 3:30 a.m. on Wall Street near New Hope Road.
The homeowner was able to climb through a window to escape the fire, and he called 911 from a neighbor’s house. He suffered some cuts and abrasions while climbing out the window, and was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
The fire caused some damage to about five yards of a nearby wooded area.
The mobile home is considered a loss.
Firefighters managed to contain the flames within about 30 minutes. Crews are working right now to put out hot spots.
