Ever find yourself looking for credible information about a foreign country? If you work in global business, are a teacher or student, make sure to bookmark the CIA World Factbook.

The CIA Factbook provides information on “the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.”

As the landing page explains further, reference tabs include maps of “the major world regions, as well as Flags of the World, a Physical Map of the World, a Political Map of the World, a World Oceans map, and a Standard Time Zones of the World map.”

Basically, that’s a lot of detailed information about every country out there, including the United States. Each country also has a specialized profile with statistics about demographics, energy use and the economy – among other resources.
