The Program Manager position is a manager of Project Managers. This position is responsible for delivery of Scope, Schedule, Budget and exceeding client expectations for the portfolio of projects.
The Program Manager is responsible for manpower leveling, hiring, terminating, developing, training, employees inclluding Project Managers, Site Sueprintendents, Project Technical Specialists and dotted line responsibility for Project Administrators.
A General or Mechanical construction background is ideal. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven ability to manage through challenging situations including conflicting interests of project stakeholders for the maximum benefit of all involved.
This position has some office time, but is primarily an on site team development and managerial position. MEntoring, using extensive field experience to educate, improve, aid with critical path Project Management experience.
Additionally the Program Manager assumes ultimate responsibility for the performance of the assigned portfolio of work and presents monthly to director and above level management on the performance of the portfolio, the team and on forward looking resource and financial performance.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of Seven years industry experience with a minimum of three years supervising project teams with the execution of Mechanical, electrical, temperature controls, lighting, water, roofing, windows, etc subcontractors.
This position requires experience with coordinationg with AHJ’s for permitting, local labor laws, local Tax laws, Safety plans, etc. General Contracting licenses are a plus.
Strong knowledge of Construction Project finances are required as are a working knowledge of resource leveling, MS Project, Safety Plan Development, and Team Building and interpersonal communications.
