HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - "If there is a failing of the technology culture in Huntsville, this is where it lies: we don’t share. Even when we can, there seems a reluctance to talk about what we are doing."
These words are part of the inspiration for QEST, the Quarterly Exchange of Solutions and Technology hosted by Cygnus Strategy Group.
Part idea exchange, part networking, and part social hour, QEST is dedicated to fostering partnerships between Huntsville professionals and encourage collaboration with everyone from entrepreneurs to veteran businesses. The first event is Thursday, January 23 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jackson Center.
"What we’re trying to do is to encourage Huntsville technologists to collaborate," said Bob Jackson, with Cygnus Strategy Group.
Free to both presenters and attendees, QEST is an after-hours, business-casual setting designed to inspire ideas through presentations about innovations in Huntsville and surrounding areas, feedback on your own ideas, and the meeting of like-minded people.
"We want to put great minds together and see what comes of it. Put some great collaborators together and see what ideas come out of that," said Jackson.
Anyone with an interest in technology being developed in Huntsville is invited to attend. If you or your company would like to talk about your innovative technology, you're invited to present at QEST.
