LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – All Limestone County Schools will be closed Tuesday due to a large power outage in the area.

Earlier this morning, the school system said Johnson Elementary School would be closed today due to a ruptured water line.  A school district official says the ruptured water line has caused flooding in a classroom.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. the school system made the decision to close all schools because of a large power issue in Limestone County, specifically at the substation in Clements.
