PowerOutage

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Utilities crews have restored power in northwest Madison County.  All power was restored by 7:15 a.m. Monday.

Power went out around 5:45 a.m. Monday because of a weather-damaged power line.

The area affected was from the Madison/Limestone County Line east to Scott Road and from the Tennessee/Alabama State Line south to Opp Reynolds Road.

If you were affected by the outage, and your power just came back on, Huntsville Utilities asks customers to please wait approximately 15 minutes before starting your heating system.  A slow return to normal usage will assist Huntsville Utilities crews in maintaining stability throughout the entire electrical system and reduce the possibility of additional outages.

Our power is still very spotty. It will stay on for about 10 minutes then go back out. It’s happening in our entire neighborhood.

We have not had power in our road on Green Mountain since 7:00 PM yesterday. Such is life
