UPDATE: Duplex Fire on Alpine Street Ruled Arson, Man Arrested

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A fire at a duplex residence in south Huntsville has been ruled arson and a man has been arrested.

The call came in just after 4:00 in the afternoon of a house fire at 3517 Alpine St. According to the fire crew on the scene, the house, a duplex, had a fire in the attic. Crews were able to contain the blaze.

Roberto Rodriguez, 36, has been arrested and charged with two counts of Arson. Police say Rodriguez set fire to the residence after a domestic disturbance.

Rodriguez fled the scene on foot and was arrested by officers on Drake Ave.
