Auburn Defense Talks Game Preps & Bama Responds to Sugar Bowl Loss
PASADENA, Calif. (WHNT) -Auburn’s defense may be ranked 12th in the SEC in total defense, but the tigers prove it’s not just about the numbers.
“No matter what happens in the beginning, this game will take 59 minutes and 59 seconds. And it may take one more second,” says Auburn corner back Chris Davis. “These guys know how to win with just one second. They know how to win with a minute and half. They know how to win a game. And I think no matter what happens, they will play their way through it.”
But the tigers will have to have that kind of success against Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston who says: “We’re going out there to do what we came to do, just like in the first 13 games. It’s not over yet. We have a 14th one and why not end this year with a victory?”
Winning is a bit of a sore subject for The University of Alabama today. A loss in the Sugar Bowl is not the way the team, especially the seniors, wanted to end the season.
By they way, this marks the first time since 2009 that Alabama lost two consecutive games.
