Huntsville Utilities Makes Preparations For Frigid Weather
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Utilities says it is closely monitoring the winter weather conditions that are expected from now through Tuesday, January 7.
Huntsville Utilities doesn’t expect to have any major problems, but frigid cold can cause equipment to fail. If so, crews will be ready to respond.
Should you experience an electric outage, please turn off your heating system. Once service has been restored, wait approximately 15 minutes before re-starting it.
Please do not resume unnecessary usage until power has been completely restored. A slow return to normal usage will assist HU crews in maintaining stability throughout the entire electrical system and reduce the possibility of additional outages.
