New Year’s Eve Events Around the Valley

TENNESSEE VALLEY, (WHNT) – If you don’t already have plans for New Year’s Eve or are looking for a fun event for you and your friends to go to, we have a few suggestions for places to ring in the New Year.

-Huntsville Ball Drop & Fireworks: Terrame Day Spa & Salon is hosting the ball drop. The ball will be next to the eternal flame and entrance to the Tinsel Trail.  The National Anthem will be played at 11:55 p.m. followed by the countdown and ball drop at midnight. Fireworks will follow.

-Amendment XXI New Year’s Eve Special Event: Located on North Side Square in downtown Huntsville, Amendment XXI has ticket available online for their New Year’s Eve celebration. Tickets that include VIP entrance, a champagne toast at midnight, and breakfast thereafter, as well as a few booth rentals that also includes bottle service, are available. -The Fabulous Roaring 20′s New Year’s Eve Party: Starts at 6:00 p.m. and goes until 1:00 a.m. at the Huntsville Marriott.   There will be casino games, live music, and a champagne toast when the clock strikes 12. The cost is $50.

-Grille 29 Late Night Party: Located in the Village of Providence, the cost is $99.

-Skating in the Park: This week is your last chance to strap on your ice skates and enjoy “Skating in the Park” at Big Spring Park. The rink will stay open for New Year’s Eve until 1:00 am. Tomorrow through Saturday, the rink will open at 10:00 a.m.

-2014 New Year’s Party at the Lodge: Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge is hosting a combination New Year’s Eve and 75th Anniversary of Alabama State Parks Party. On New Year’s Eve, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Entertainment will start at 8:00 p.m. and go until 1:00 a.m. There will be two types of entertainment: a live band featuring “Chasing Chad” and a DJ playing music. Champagne will be served at midnight and breakfast will be served buffet style at 1:00 a.m. Tickets to the party are $65 per person, with the option to get a room and party package for $190. -Life Church 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Dodge City: Located just south of Cullman, right off I-65 at exit 299, the theme for this year’s event is Cajunfest!

There will be free Cajun food, free games for the whole family (including redneck putt-putt), blow-up bounce-houses for the kids, and chances to win tons of prizes. At midnight, they will be dropping a 10-foot ball lit with more than 30 thousand LED lights from a height of over 30 feet! There will be a huge fireworks display, music, food vendors, and so much more!

There will also be some events inside for those who don’t enjoy the cold. This event will happen rain or shine. Festivities start at 10:00 p.m. on the Dec 31 at Life Church, 471 Al Hwy 69 S, Hanceville, Al 35077.
