Free Movie Ticket For Donating Blood

NORTH ALABAMA (WHNT)- LifeSouth Community Blood Center is trying to encourage more people to donate blood by offering a free movie ticket to every donor who gives blood in one of its centers.

LifeSouth will be taking blood donations on Jan. 3 through the 5.

Blood Donation Centers:

January 3: Wal-Mart on Highway 71 in Madison, from 10am-5pm. Walgreens 3120 Bob Wallace Avenue in Huntsville, 12pm-6pm and Decatur Mall on 1801 Beltline Road in Decatur, from 12pm-6pm.

January 4th: Blood Donors of America Phillips 66 Gas Station on 15 Hughes Road in Madison, from 10 am-5pm. Wal-Mart 6140 University Drive Huntsville, form 12pm-5pm. Carmike Cinemas on 1950 Market Plaza in Cullman, from 11am-5pm.

January 5th: Hometown Groceries 608 South Jefferson Street Athens, from 11 am-5pm. Shoe Carnival 6275 University Drive, Huntsville from 11am-4:30 pm and Star Market 9020 Bailey Cove Road Huntsville, from 11am-5pm.

To donate you must be 17 years old, or 16 with parental permission, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo I.D. is also required.

    So why do you always have to have a photo ID?

    Is that because after someone gives ‘contaminated’ blood they hunt them down or is there a prepared photo list of ‘bad’ donors?

    Can you give directly at Huntsville Hospital to cut out the “middle-man”???
