MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WHNT) - Governor Robert Bentley signed a proclamation this afternoon in Montgomery declaring November Adoption Awareness Month in the state of Alabama.

Kids to Love Founder and WHNT News 19's Lee Marshall was invited to attend the signing at the state capital today.

Adoption is important personally to Governor Bentley.  He's an adoptive parent.

During the signing, the governor talked about the importance of finding forever families for children in foster care.

We introduce you to these children every Monday on WHNT News 19 at 5:00 p.m.  Learn more about them in our Kids to Love section on WHNT.com.
