Bulldogs Rally Late, Take Mayor’s Cup over UAH
Huntsville, Ala. (WHNT) – Alabama A&M asserted its size advantage in the second half and came away with a 79-73 come-from-behind win over UAH Thursday night in the Mayor’s Cup basketball game at the Von Braun Center.
The Mayor’s Cup was last played in 1999 and this was the first college basketball game in the Von Braun Center since A&M lost to Auburn in 2009. The schools plan to make it an annual event. A&M owns a 19-5 advantage in the series.
Demarquelle Tabb led A&M with 16 points and seven rebounds. Jeremy Crutcher added 15, Tyler Davis 13.
Ronnie Mack, hitting 5-for-8 on 3s, led UAH with 19 and Wayne Dedrick scored 16.
