UPDATE: DeKalb County Deputies Looking for Shooting Suspect

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect who was involved in shooting Tuesday morning.

Deputies are searching for Travis Townsend in connection with the shooting. The victim, Bobby Harper, was shot inside a car on County Road 313.

The shooting happened before 11 a.m.

Harper was shot in the neck, and was flown to Huntsville Hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery.  According to deputies, Harper told deputies who shot him before he was put in the helicopter.

Deputies believed Townsend was inside his home on County Road 313, but they discovered he wasn’t there.
