Mother, Daughter Killed in Albertville Wreck

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A mother and daughter died in a Saturday morning wreck near Albertville.  Albertville Police say it happened just before 9:30 a.m. on Beulah Road about two miles from Highway 431.

Troopers say Jennie Lowery, 72 of Albertville was driving and Lisa Simpson, 52 of Duff, Tennessee was a passenger in a truck that left the road and hit a tree.  Both women died on the scene.

Albertville Police are assisting state troopers who are handling the investigation.

State Troopers say neither woman was wearing a seat belt.
