UPDATE: Shooting at Winter Park Apartment Complex

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Police responded to a shooting in the area of 4116 Newson Road at Winter Park Apartments.

Huntsville Police say late last night an unknown offender knocked on the victim’s door.

The victim is recovering at Huntsville Hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police say when the victim answered the door the offender shot him.

Police tell WHNT News 19 the bullet hit the man in the arm.

    When I lived at Wedgwood on Newson across the street from there, People continuously knocked on my door all night armed and messed up crack heads. Those apartments are also infested with bedbugs, roaches and mold. Bendall properties are slum lords and something should be done about the condition of those living quarters. Children are living in toxic conditions on those premises.

    I agree with you Johnny. The sad part is that I lived in that area twenty years ago, and to think that area is still the same is sickening.
