Schools Make Plans for Students to Attend Services for Wreck Victims

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Family and friends will remember two people who died in two separate wrecks here in Madison County.

A public viewing is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the Royal Funeral Home for former Bob Jones football star Dezmond Dennis.

A funeral service for Dennis is set for 2:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison.

The 20-year-old Dennis died in a wreck Friday morning off Martin Road in Huntsville.

Dennis graduated from Bob Jones High School in 2012.

He was in the car with Andres Gentry who was also killed in the wreck.

A service will also be held today for 16-year-old Erin Clark. She died in a wreck Saturday on Poplar Ridge Road in New Hope. Clark was one of two passengers in the vehicle at the time of the wreck.

A service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ.  Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery.

Clark was a student at New Hope High School.  The school will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. to allow students to attend the service.

Bob Jones High School will also allow students to check out at the front office to attend the service for Dezmond Dennis.
