Burgess Receives 99-Year Sentence In Marshall Co. Murder
GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Wesley Claude Burgess was sentenced on Monday afternoon to 99 years in prison for the 2009 murder of Rick Moody.
Moody, a Claysville businessman, was found stabbed to death in 2009. A jury convicted Burgess back on September 20, 2013.
Moody’s family told WHNT News 19 Moody is remembered as a generous and caring, and lived his life with honor. They said this verdict gives them the closure they have been waiting years for.
