Phone Service Restored At Madison County Courthouse
MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Missy Ming-Smith, Madison County’s spokeswoman, informed WHNT NEWS 19 all phone lines for the offices inside the Madison County Courthouse are restored.
Several people called WHNT NEWS 19 Friday morning to say they had trouble getting through to several offices at the courthouse.
The county’s spokeswoman told WHNT NEWS 19 earlier the server controlling the phone system inside the courthouse was not working. Missy Ming Smith said the phones went down around 7:00 a.m. Friday.
The phone outage included satellite offices on Highway 53 and in Madison.
Crews restored the phone service around 12 p.m. Friday. Madison County remained open during the phone outage. A different server controls the county’s email system. Employees were able to use emails during the phone outage.
