Manhunt in Limestone County

LIMESTONE CO., Ala. (WHNT) — Limestone County deputies are searching for a man they say stabbed his nephew.

It happened between 7:00 and 7:30 Sunday evening at a mobile home park on George Lane. Authorities responded to a disturbance call.  They say when they arrived they found one person stabbed and the offender was gone.

Officials say the victim was stabbed in the stomach. He was taken by Medflight to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. He is expected to recover.

Deputies used a K-9 and helicopters to search for the man in the area between Gattlin Road and George Lane, south of Ardmore.

Authorities say they have not yet found the man, but plan to issue a warrant for his arrest.
