Huntsville AL - (al.com) Darnell Coles, the manager of the Huntsville Stars the past two seasons, has been promoted to Class AAA Nashville.

Coles replaces Mike Guerrero, another former Huntsville manager, who was recently named to the Milwaukee Brewers' field staff.
No replacement has been named for Coles. If the Brewers chose to move managers up the ladder as they've done with Coles and Guerrero, the logical candidate would be Joe Ayrault, who has managed at Class A Brevard County the past two years.
Coles, 51, was 124-153 the past two seasons at Huntsville.
The Sounds will retain their current coaches, Bob Skube and pitching coach Fred Dabney. There has been no announcement about current Stars pitching coach Chris Hook or hitting coach Ken Dominguez.
Coles, who played 14 years in the majors, played 22 games for the Sounds in 1992. He hit three homers in a game on April 10, 1992, tying a Nashville record.
