Thinking about a quick vacation before the winter sets in? Eager to take in the fall colors on a drive through our state? Check out Alabama’s official tourism website. offers all kinds of information about the state and helpful resources for your planning convenience. You’ll be able to pick out road trip destinations, state park locations, historic sites, most-visited attractions and even welcome centers.

In the “Experience Alabama” section of the website, you can toggle through some videos and click on each to learn more about civil rights in Alabama, the state’s pristine beaches or outdoor adventure. Clicking on outdoor adventure for example, routes you to another page with detailed sub-sections: camping, hiking, birding, boating, biking and more.

The website also lets you order a free vacation guide and calendar for help planning your next in-state trip. You can explore an interactive map in advance of hitting the road as well.
