Deep Roots of Alabama is a gardening and educational initiative in Huntsville.  Their mission is to teach and encourage individuals, families and communities to grow their own food and learn healthy lifestyle choices one garden at a time.

This year the Deep Root of Huntsville Harvest Celebration and silent-auction fund-raiser, “Harvest for Huntsville 2013” will be at The Renaissance Theatre on Meridian Street on October 10th from 6pm to 10 pm.

Highlights of the evening include:

  • Locally grown produce, prepared by local Chefs Sam Buchanan and Trevonee Simelton
  • Muscle Shoals local musicians, Harvey Thompson and the Thompson Trio
  • Tours of Lincoln Academy’s school garden, where the kids will treat patrons with a scarecrow competition.

It’s going to be a GREAT night!  Help grow Gardens of Hope around North Alabama!

Tickets are $35 per person or $50 per couple.
