Hearing Today for Huntsville Teen Charged with Murder
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Dominick Lewis Everson, an 18-year-old charged with murder, is scheduled to be in court for a status hearing today. The hearing is set for 10:00 a.m. in the Madison County Courthouse.
Everson is charged in connection with the death of 29-year-old Ezrhea Cherry.
Huntsville Police say they found Cherry’s body found inside her vehicle back in June. The vehicle was found at the intersection of Hester Lane and Searcy Drive in Huntsville.
Officers say at first it looked like a minor traffic accident, but they say Cherry actually died prior to the wreck. They say she had been shot several times with a handgun.
Authorities say this isn’t the first time Everson has had a run-in with the law. They say he also shot and robbed a cab driver in November. Police charged him with robbery and attempted murder in that case.
