TANNER, Ala. (WHNT) - Our Tools for Teachers winner for the week of September 2, 2013 is Misty Dindlebeck, a third grade teacher at Tanner School.

This veteran educator of eight years was nominated by fellow teacher Tracy Jones, who is also mom to a former student of Ms. Dindlebeck.

After our customary classroom surprise where we presented $319 to our honoree, we learned a little about Ms. Dindlebeck's keys to success. She says she can sum up her approach to teaching by the words of a famous poet.

"One of my favorite quotes from Maya Angelou is: 'I have learned that people will forget what you say; people will forget what you do, but people will never forget the way you made them feel.'"

If you know a worthy teacher, coach, principal, or aide, tells us about them through the Tools for Teachers nomination form.
