UPDATE: Meth Bust in Trinity Puts Five in Jail
TRINITY, Ala. (WHNT) – Morgan County authorities arrested five people on drug charges Wednesday night.
Sheriff Ana Franklin says the arrests stem from a two year investigation.
About 7:30 Wednesday evening the Morgan County Drug Task Force carried out two search warrants on two mobile homes at the Heritage Trailer Park on Alabama Highway 24 in Trinity.
Agents say a search of the homes led to finding several one-pot meth labs in one of the mobile homes. Deputies say they spent the next seven hours dismantling and collecting drug paraphernalia that was inside the home.
All five people found in the homes were arrested. The Trinity Volunteer Fire Department also responded to decontaminate the adults. They were then taken to the Morgan County Jail where they are charged with various drug charges, including trafficking.
