HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - A nearly 200-year-old fixture in the Madison County community was on the move Thursday.

It's one of the earliest remaining log cabins in the county's history. A man by the name of Cruson Snyder built this cabin in 1833. Snyder used cedar logs and mud. There were not a lot of hi-tech tools back then, but there are now.

Workers with Don Kennedy & Sons took to move the cabin from Mountain Fork Road to Sharon Johnston Park.
