Retired Huntsville Professor Remembers March on Washington 50 Years Later
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – 50 years ago we heard about a dream. It was a dream about a nation that would one day judge people not by their skin color, but by their character.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior shared that dream with hundreds of thousands of people attending the march on Washington. It has been 50 years since King shared his now historic dream.
Dr. Emmanuel Saunders is a retired history professor at Huntsville’s Oakwood University. He was among the thousands in attendance on that day in 1963.
He joined Steve Johnson and Michelle Stark to share his perspective on WHNT News 19 This Morning.
