Ardmore Couple Dies in Wreck in Park City, TN

PARK CITY, Tenn. (WHNT) - Two people died in a wreck Tuesday afternoon on Highway 231/431 near Park City.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a white car was struck by an 18-wheeler while pulling out of Monk's Produce.  The driver and passenger of the white car died.

Authorities identified the couple who died as Carl and Frances Bauer of Ardmore.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.  No charges will be filed in this case.

Highway 231/431 was partially closed for several hours as the Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the scene. The road was reopened just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
