DECATUR, Ala. – A lawsuit against Decatur High School graduate and former Oakland Raiders football player Rolando McClain filed by the victim in a shooting incident that took place in 2011 has been dropped, according to our news partners at al.com.

McClain was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, menacing, and wrongful discharge of a firearm related to this case, but the charges were dropped after a bench trial found McClain guilty and he appealed that verdict.

McClain was charged after he allegedly fired a shot near the head of another man during an argument.
