BEAUMONT, Tex. (CNN) - Animal Services officers in Beaumont, Texas seized several pythons, rats and rabbits from a home on Monday.
One snake was a 12-foot Burmese python that weighed over 120 pounds.
Neighbors had complained to police, saying the renters let some of the animals roam free in the yard. Police also say there are animal cruelty charges involved.
Police say some of the snakes escaped the house recently and got run over by passing vehicles.
