Truck Leads Huntsville Police on 25mph Chase
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A suspected drunk driver leads police on a 45-minute chase.
It started as a traffic stop near Drake Avenue and Patton Road. The driver refused to pull over, and police began a 25 mile per hour chase.
Police followed the truck east on Drake Avenue to Leeman Ferry Road, then down to Joe Davis Stadium.
Several Huntsville police officers deployed stop sticks that punctured the tires, but that didn’t stop the driver.
The chase finally ended near Hobbs Island Road.
The driver, 38-year-old Lesley Ronald Holt, is charges with a DUI, attempting to flee and allude, and several traffic violations.
