MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (WHNT) – The Muscle Shoals School Board has named an interim superintendent to get the school year started.
Set for 180 days, former Colbert County Superintendent Billy Hudson will take the helm on Monday morning.
The school board made the appointment after Superintendent Jeff Wooten announced his departure late last month.
Hudson has spent 35 years in education in Colbert County, retiring from the elected superintendent position at the end of 2012.
The board must now begin the search for a full-time replacement.
