Rotary Club of Madison hosts “Parrots of the Caribbean”
The Rotary Club of Madison hosts its 11th annual Parrots of the Caribbean, an outdoor evening of live music, food, and libations, on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm at #58 Martin Street in Downtown Madison.
Parrotheads and music lovers everywhere are invited to don their grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts, and island wear to enjoy dancing, raffle baskets, and a fabulous island theme – all to be found right in downtown Madison!
The Zooks, a rock band with an island twist, will get the party started early in the evening followed by our featured musical guests Four on the Floor, Playing an eclectic blend of music from the golden ages of rock and roll (50’s – 80’s.) You can sit back, relax and enjoy the show or dance the night away under the stars.
Delicious Caribbean style food will be available to “whet” your appetite, with beverages including soft drinks, beer and wine available for purchase as well. All guests must be 21 or older, have a valid ID, and are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs. Coolers, pets, strollers, and outside food and drink are not permitted.This event is held rain or shine.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the night of the event and can be purchased online at http://madisonalrotary.org/parrots with an additional online ticketing service charge of $2.09 per ticket. Group ticket purchases (10 or more) can also be made via a credit card by calling 256-564-2075. Please leave your call back number and we will return your call to finalize the purchase. Tickets are also available from your nearest Madison Rotarian.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Rotary Club of Madison’s year-round local and international projects such as local student vocational and leadership programs, local scholarships, Madison library, Boys and Girls Club of Triana, world-wide polio eradication, humanitarian projects in Honduras, and a variety of community spirit activities.
