All vessels should take extra precaution between Tennessee River miles 385-386. Boaters should also watch for and heed warnings from the five security boats that will be on patrol in the area.
TVA will be removing both transmission wire and steel transmission structures during the project. Work is scheduled from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. CDT daily and could take up to six days to complete, depending on weather.
The road crossing the bridge also will be closed to automobile traffic until the transmission line work is completed. Motorists should seek alternate routes.
