Man Rescued from I-565 Overpass
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)– Huntsville firefighters rescued a man Sunday afternoon from an elevated portion of Interstate 565. Witnesses tell WHNT News 19 the man had climbed to a portion of the interstate just west of the Memorial Parkway southbound exit to rescue a cat.
After the man got to the top of the elevated portion he became stuck and witnesses called 911. Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the man.
The man’s name has not been released. It’s also unclear if the cat was rescued.
