HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison County Commission Chairman Dale Strong was our guest for the August 10 edition of Leadership Perspectives.

Chairman Strong served as commissioner for 16 years in Madison County's District 4 before winning election as chairman in 2012.  He manages the county's budget and oversees six cities within the county.

In this segment, Strong talks about Redstone Arsenal's position as the county's largest economic driver.  He also talks about the lessons learned after the devastating tornadoes of April 27, 2011.

"We were at our best and worst hours," said Strong.  "It was the worst natural disaster in the history of the state of Alabama.  We watched as people helped people, and that's what sets us apart.  That was one of the defining moments for the state of Alabama, and for Madison County."
