Madison Police Capture Escaped Inmate

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Madison police have captured on inmate who escaped from the Alabama Department of Corrections Hamilton Work Release Center on August 8.

On Friday afternoon, Madison police responded to the Value Place Inn on Madison Blvd. to check on a suspicious person.  Officers identified the man through recent wanted bulletins as escapee Michael Aaron Orton, according to police reports.

35-year-old Sonya Rollins of Huntsville was staying with Orton at the Value Place Inn and was providing him assistance. She was arrested for hindering apprehension and was booked into the Madison County Jail on $2500 bond.
