Landing a job is often a matter of who you know but also of timing. That makes finding out about an opening as soon as it’s posted and applying quickly a necessity. As a result, job seekers are increasingly turning to mobile devices to hunt for employment.
GlassDoor, a job review website, recently did a study that suggested 68% of job seekers are now using mobile devices at least once a week or more. A full 85% believe mobile devices are going to be the best way to find a job in the next five years.
Pablo Fuentes, CEO of Proven, puts it like this, “People, most of the time, are no more than 10 feet from their mobile device. That enables them to react immediately to opportunities that may show up. And to have all of their documents that really matter to them for their job applications, resumes and cover letters, locked and loaded and ready to go.”
