FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – University of North Alabama campus leaders are looking for volunteers to help with some heavy lifting.

During the “Unpack the Pride” people will help move incoming freshmen and other students into the residence halls.  People can also help direct traffic, or hand out water to families.

Volunteers can help unpack the pride on Friday, August 16th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Also on Saturday, August 17th, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

“It`s a very exciting time here on campus, it`s a great way to get involved again we always want to welcome our new students and make them feel comfortable about them being here and this being their new home,” said Jennifer Ballard, Assistant Residence Life Director at UNA.

If you would like to volunteer, you can fill out a form from the UNA Residence Hall department.

Individuals or groups can sign-up to help.
