MONTGOMERY, Ala. (CNN) - Budget cuts may lead to layoffs in Alabama's judicial branch.

Chief Justice Roy Moore says it will put a burden on the court system, and may result in 150 people losing their jobs.

"We don't have security that we used to have, we don't have personnel that we used to have, and naturally the court moves slower when there's a lack of funding," said Roy Moore, Alabama Chief Justice.

The chief justice says the court system should not be underfunded.
