HUNTSVILLE, AL (WHNT) - A man charged in a Huntsville murder will be arraigned today at 9 a.m. Randle Earl Hewlett is charged with capital murder in the death of John Mark Allen.

Allen's body was found in January near his car on Spragins Hollow Road in Huntsvile. However, the investigation to find him started the Saturday before when police say they received a call of shots being fired near Arcadia Circle.

The next day they found a Cadillac in a ditch off Spragins Hollow Road matching the description of the victim's car.

Hewlett and Mercedes Lynea Douglas are both charged with killing Allen. Hewlett also faces charges of obstruction of government operations and carrying a concealed weapon. Douglas faces additional charges of theft of property and resisting arrest.

Douglas and Hewlett are currently scheduled to go to trial Monday, July 29.
