HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Before Huntsville became the Rocket City, the town was dominated by fields and agricultural industry. One man's contribution to space exploration changed the face of the town.

During the 1960s, Dr. Wernher Von Braun led the Rocket Race in Huntsville. He helped engineer the Saturn V Rocket and because of his contributions, American astronauts were the first to walk on the moon in 1969.
